Where to live in Thailand
Where is the best place to live for me in Thailand? What nice places are in Thailand to live?
The issue where it makes the most sense to live in Thailand must everyone answer for his self. Thailand has many beautiful places. Everyone has a different claim, as well as other interests. It also depends on how the financial situation is fixed or the livelihood is denied. Do you want a guest house, restaurants, bars, tourist places or the land life in Thailand?. Even for the few opportunities to work in Thailand remain that this are usually only tourist establishments. I just do a quick run through hotspots in Thailand. In the tourist sector, there would be places like Pattaya, Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok. Furthermore, many other islands like Koh Chang and Koh Phi Phi.
The advantage in the touristic places like Phuket, Pattaya and Koh Samui is that there are many people of all kinds of nation. This means that goods and food is also available from Domestic regions. In the long run this can be really nice from time to time. You certainly can´t imagine how a cheese sandwich taste good after months which only Thai food. I know this sounds absurd but it's true. But there are also people who don’t´t want that. Some people might want to immerse themselves completely away from the Western life and get into the real Thai life. There are a lot of islands or coastal areas to choose for that and of corse the inner country as well. I myself have spent some time in Buriram. This is located in Isaan. It´s a small city in the northeast of Thailand. There can be lived for a fraction of the cost of places like Pattaya. As already mentioned, everyone must clarify for himself what he wants and where he get that. I was in Pattaya and Koh Samui both felt comfortable and in Buriram. The live quite rural, is for me personally not the right. Even Bangkok I do not like it in the long run. But this may be the right fit for someone else.
